Can I integrate Inoreader with other automation services?
Yes. Inoreader has apps on Zapier, IFTTT and n8n, where a new article in a folder, a tag or a monitoring feed can start an automation and an action can add a feed or save a page into Inoreader. A rule's Trigger webhook action sends matching articles to an address of your own.
Zapier, IFTTT and n8n
On Zapier and IFTTT, Inoreader offers triggers for a new article in a folder, a newly tagged article, a new monitoring feed result, a new saved web page, a new liked or broadcast article, a new subscription, a feed added to a folder, a new bundle and a new episode in the audio player. Its actions follow a feed, save a web page or mark a folder, a feed or everything as read. When you tag, like or broadcast an article, Inoreader notifies IFTTT at once, so an applet runs right away.
The n8n node, presented in Supercharge your workflows with our new n8n integration, adds a tag, creates an article, gets the articles of a feed, folder or tag, and lists your feeds, folders and tags.
- Sign in to the automation platform and add the Inoreader app or node.
- Connect your Inoreader account when the platform asks, on the Inoreader sign-in and consent page it opens.
- Choose an Inoreader trigger, such as a new article in a folder or tag, and the action in the other app.
The connections you authorize are listed in Inoreader, see Where can I manage my integrations?.
Webhooks from a rule
A rule with the Trigger webhook action posts each matching article to a public address of yours as JSON, in the API's item format, with the rule's name and match counts in the body and in headers. What actions can rules perform? lists the other actions.
- Go to Automate > Rules, click Create rule and set the trigger and conditions.
- Click + Add action and choose Trigger webhook.
- Enter your address and save the rule.
Other ways to connect
Slack and Microsoft Teams channels receive articles through a Team's channel webhooks with the rule action Send to Team channel, on Team plans. An output feed publishes a folder or tag as RSS or JSON for any tool that reads feeds, and the API is there for your own code.
Integrations and webhooks are Pro features.
