Where can I find shared highlights and notes?

Click Team in the tab bar and choose Annotations in the Team sidebar. It lists every article on which a member shared a highlight or note, latest first. Open an article to see the shared highlights and notes in its Annotations panel, each with the author's picture and name.

Open the Team's annotations

  1. Click Team in the tab bar.
  2. Click Annotations in the Team sidebar, the second page after Dashboards.
  3. Open an article. The shared highlights and notes are in the Annotations panel above the text.

You can also press . for quick access and pick Annotations under Team.

What you see in an article

The Annotations panel lists your own annotations and the ones shared with your Team. A teammate's entry shows their picture and name without Edit or Delete, since only the author can change an annotation. Their highlights are drawn in the text, and on desktop the marker in the margin shows their picture with a Team badge reading "Visible to Team members". Private annotations of other members never appear. Can I keep notes private? explains sharing and unsharing.

The list and the dashboard

The list under Team > Annotations holds the articles with annotations shared with the Team, by any member, you included, ordered by the time of the annotation. While there are none, the page reads "Mark key article sections, add notes, and revisit your insights anytime." with a Start reading button. A Team dashboard can show the articles with the latest annotations added by your Team with the Annotations widget. What is my Team sidebar, and what can I find there? covers the other Team pages.

Your own annotations, private and shared alike, are also under Saved > Annotations, as Where can I find my annotations? describes.

Plans

Shared annotations come with the Team and Team Intelligence plans. The feature page Annotations has an overview.
