Searching for large spring boot projects to learn from

Hey, the title pretty much says it already. Do you guys know of any larger/professional repositories that use Spring Boot. How does not scaling look like?

"It doesnt scale" or "building scalable applications" is a very common comment. But have you actually seen it happen? How does a non scaling app look like? How bad is it really for the business? Whenever you mention maybe not doing the prescribed "best practice" wisdom, people will just say "well you will realize ur mistakes once you start scaling lol"....
