Why am I not receiving the password reset email?

The reset link goes to the email address of your Inoreader account, and only when what you typed on the Reset password page matches that address or your username exactly. The page shows the same confirmation either way, so a typo or an old address looks like a sent email.

  1. Go back to Reset password and enter the address you signed up with, or your username, which the page accepts too. If you've changed email providers since, try each address you may have used.
  2. Give it a few minutes, then check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from [email protected] with a subject like "Anna, change your Inoreader password", your first name in front, so search your mailbox for Inoreader.
  3. Open the newest link. A link works for one hour and stops working once a password has been set, so an older email in the same inbox may already be expired. The page then says so and offers a new link.
  4. On the reset page, enter the new password twice. Sign out this account from all devices after password change is ticked by default and also signs out the apps and any connected service, so you'll sign in again everywhere.

Once you're in, you can check the address under your account settings and set up a passkey.

Accounts created with Google or Apple

Click the Google or Apple button on the sign-in page instead. The reset link works for those accounts too and gives them a password you can use as well.

Teams with single sign-on

Sign in through the SSO page with your work email, as how to log in with SSO describes. Your password is managed by your organization, not by Inoreader.

Providers that refuse Inoreader's mail

The providers qq.com and yahoo.co.jp reject Inoreader's email, and an address that bounced our mail before can stay blocked. In both cases write to [email protected] from another address and say which account is yours. How to contact the support team lists the other ways.
