Advice needed-stairs replacement for California split

I am going to tackle this project. I have always bought premade stringers and adjusted for height on first/last step in the past -- I have never seen a hand made stringer with 2x6 supports. And while it makes sense to me why they did it (probably money savings), I don't see any advantage to this? The good: The single support (treated) and the beam...

It ain't much, but hopefully my daughter will enjoy

I manage to make my first chair. Basic tools were used and spare wood that I had in my garage. Due to this some cuts are not the best. You can see the gaps. I think a table should be next as it will complete de set. The chair is for an one and 1/2 old. It's 18cm high and surprisingly it holds a 90 kg person. Test it myself. submitted by /u/BeL_IbLIs_G...

Do I need different drill bits to drill through this cast iron, or just more patience

Need to drill three holes through this wok ring, and currently the only tool I have for the job is this RYOBI drill and a basic set of drill bits I tried it out to see how far I could make it and made…some progress, but it’s definitely slow going. Do I just keep at it, or should I be using different bits? submitted by /u/consultybob [link]...
