Can I listen to articles and podcasts together?

Yes. Articles read by text-to-speech and podcast episodes go into one Playlist in the Audio player, a button near the bottom of the tab bar, which plays them in order, one after another.

Add articles and episodes

1. Open an article, click Listen with text-to-speech and click Add to playlist in the player. Or open the article's more menu (⋯) in its button row and choose Add to queue.
2. Open a podcast episode and click the add-to-queue icon in its audio player. It starts playing in the Audio player from where the episode was.
3. Click Audio player near the bottom of the tab bar to see the Playlist.
4. Press play. Inoreader plays the items one after another.

The first item you add opens the Audio player. A new item goes to the end of the playlist, and adding the same item twice shows "Item already added!". Add to queue is hidden when the article is already in the playlist, and an article's audio is generated when it plays, not when you add it.

Arrange the playlist

Drag an item by its handle to change the order. Each item's ⋯ menu offers Go to article and Remove from playlist, and Clear all above the list empties it after a confirmation. When the last item is removed, the player closes with "Player closed due to empty queue".

The player has previous and next, back and forward 10 seconds, a speed from 0.75 to 2, the volume and stop. See what you can do with the audio player. The playlist is stored in your account, not only in this browser, and since the Audio player sits outside the reading panel, it keeps playing while you browse. Plans and limits

The Audio player and its playlist are on every plan, and following and listening to podcasts is free. Text-to-speech items follow the text-to-speech allowance of 5 articles a day on Free and no daily limit on Pro. Once the day's 5 are used, an article can't be added, and an article whose publisher refused speech can't be added either. The feature page Listen to any article describes text-to-speech.
